A magnificent capture...great composition... the inclusion of the wooden pole on the foreground adds character to this shot! {H} creatives @ 07:11:2007

I think I would have cropped the post out altogeter or made it more compositely prominent in the framing.
If only for a point of reference I think a focal point might have been defined a little more than the top of the post in such an ambiguous manner. Still theres a wonderful atmosphere and classic photographic appeal to your image that's has a visual attraction and gravity. ndiginiz @ 07:11:2007
Thanks for all your comments. Ndiginiz, you're right ... the post is kind of odd, eh? I left it in the frame because I found it interesting. But this was before I decided to walk into the frame (this photograph is a self-portrait). However, I see how its presence/position becomes a little 'bothersome'. But I am glad you were all pleasantly disturbed :) Tok @ 07:14:2007
Well, I like the shot a lot. I am prepared to accept things which are somewhat of a departure from the accepted norm. The post top has allowed you to produce a powerful bokeh effect, the softness of which creates much mystery in the photo. I just love mystery in images. You look like quite a cool dude, appearing as a mystery figure. I wish I could walk into the scene and see who you are and perhaps have a chat. I like the entire mood of the capture.
